It was November and about a week ago a young girl from the Hitachi High School had tragically died; it had appeared all over the internet, a lot of people convinced that she was murded. For one boy he tried to avoid all the death talk as he was in the same class as the girl. His name was Akoto Hiroshi and was a typical 15 year old trying to get though school, and was doing his normal studies for upcoming exams. But as he surfed the net, something caught his attention; he had received a e-mail from a unknown source. He clicked on it thinking it was a prank e-mail from one of his friends.
Once he opened it, he became confused as the e-mail contained nothing within in. He looked at it again and again, but there was nothing, he sighed and thought that his eyes were tiered from looking at a screen for several hours. he stood up and turned his computer screen off and climbed into bed, tuning off his lamp as he faded into sleep.
The next morning there was a lot of commotion downstairs, which woke him up. He got out of bed and came downstairs, rubbing his eyes.
"Hey, what's happening?" he asked.
His mother heard his voice and looked at him with teary eyes, when his eyes came back into focus he noticed a police officer stood beside his mother; he was confused and wondered why the police officer was here. He gulped and came over to his mother.
"W-what's happened ...?" he questioned as he held his mother, who had roared into tears once more. The police officer gulped and looked at him, "It would be best if you sit down-" "Why?" "Just do it boy.", with that he sat down with his mother.
"Its about your sister, Takona ... Last night she was involved with a incident; at the renovations at the Hitachi High School, some cables broke and she was crushed; died instantly..." as Akoto listened, he held his mother tightly as tears began at his eyes.
Later on when the Officer left he went upstairs, as he needed to get ready for school. As he got ready he remembered about the e-mail from last night, he gulped as he came over to his computer and turned on the screen; he jolted backwards from what he sore;
" At 12:00pm a 'accident' will happen, and your beloved sister Takona will die."
He came closer to the computer and read the message over and over, he couldn't believe what he was seeing; last night it had nothing written; know it states his sister's death. He looked on his computer, to see if it was the same e-mail of if it was a different e-mail, but as he looked into it closer there was nothing of the sort. It was the same e-mail from last night.
As he walked to school his eyes were hallow, he didn't know what to believe right now. But as he came to the train crossing, he looked up from the barrier as he watched the train go by, for a quick second he thought he saw a girl. At this instance, time around him seemed to have slowed down; the girl who he had seen looked back at him, and lifted her hand pointing at him. His breath stopped for a second as she spoke to him, " A curse know dwells on you." as she finished speaking the train went past and she was gone, he looked round as the barrier lifted and people started to cross. He looked once more and realizing that she was gone, he crossed as well before the next train came.
When he reached his school, all the surrounding students went quiet and watched him as he walked past them. Whispers started to emerged around themselves. As he walked past them he turned his head to the renovations at the west side of the school, he could see the police line and could clearly see the state it was now in. As he looked he heard his friends voice, he looked but then looked back at the scene. He ignored them and started to walk to the scene. His friend stopped and watched him as he walked; he soon began to walk that way as well.
As Akoto reached the scene he stood at the tape and looked at were his sister died. As well as seeing her scene he saw two police men and some CIS as well. The policeman spotted him and came over to him.
"Excuse me but no one is allowed around the sce-" "It was my sister who died, so I can Cleary see the scene." the policeman stopped and looked at the boy then looked over to the scene, he looked back at him and could see his hallow eyes. "I understand, but I recommend you not to look; you want to remember your sister for the good memories, not by this sight." he stated as he walked away from him. As Akoto looked his friend came from behind, tapping his shoulder; which made Akoto jump in his spot. He looked at him as his friend smiled sheepishly; as if apologizing for scaring him.
"Hey mate, you okay?" he stated as he stood beside him.
"I've had better days ...But yeah it's not like your family dies everyday..." he said as he looked at the scene, his friend stunned by his words.
"I didn't know mate, god, how's your mother taking it?" "Not too well... But what stuns me is why she was here in the first place, I just don't get it ...." he looked at the ground as he spoke his words, his friend bite his lip and patted his back. Akoto looked up at him and looked at the scene once more, " Hey we better get to class ..." as he said that, he started to walk off leaving his friend behind; he looked at the scene, then ran after him.
In class, it was the same as usual; aside from the deaths hanging around. Akoto sat near the window; he paid next to all his attention outside the window as he thought about what that girl said earlier that day. It was confusing him and he didn't get why she said it to him and not anyone else around the barrier. He sighed and continued to look out the window, this time as he looked outside the window he sore a girl; she was wearing the school uniform, short pulled back hair, with a messenger bag over her right shoulder. He watched her as she walked out the school gates, as he looked he sore a truck coming down the road. And when he looked back at the girl, she was staring at him smiling, and when the truck was coming she turned her focus to the road and began to cross the road.
Akoto stood up, his chair going backwards, screaming his worlds. "A girls going to get run over!" he stated as he looked at his classmates pointing his hand out the window.
Everyone looked at him and then stood up and rushed over to the window, as Akoto catches his breath he heard a feminine voice;
"I don't see anyone, hey Akoto are you trying to pull our legs ?" her words shocked him, he looked out the window to where he had seen her, and to her words the girl wasn't there, as well as no evidence that anyone was ran over.
"W-what ... I-I defiantly sore someone, I'm not lying!" he stated trying to think of what happened, "S-she must have crossed i-in time then .... " stating once more as if feeling insane. As he did everyone looked at him and took their seats once again, the teacher looked at him and pointed a finger.
"Stay after lesson Akoto." he stated harshly.
He looked at his teacher and slumped back to his chair; he looked out the window once more and saw the girl on the other side of the road. On her face laid a smile as she lifted her hand towards him and spoke, of which he couldn't make out. He blinked and when he looked again the girl was gone from his sight, he gulped and decided not to look out the window for a while.
It had been a week since his sister had brutally died and 2 weeks since his class mate died as well, and strangely another female student had tragically died as well. The police were starting to think that these strange deaths were all linked, 3 cases of deaths of female students in less than a month; know how could that not be suspicious ?
But since his sister's death, Akoto has received more emails, of which are blank; not including what they say until someone dies, which is incredible strange indeed. But as this happens Akoto changes, and his friends have noticed this; his hallow eyes, lack of speech and also by his research of 'the paranormal'. This has made them all worry.
Zack, who moved to Japan when he was 2 years old, was worried the most as he was Akoto's best friend since middle school. As he was worried about him, he came over to his house; which was dull as his sisters funeral is coming up. He knocked on the door twice, and Akoto's mother answered the door; she was trying to be cheery, which was of course hard for her. She allowed him in and stated that Akoto was in his bedroom.
When he got to his bedroom he knocked twice and stated himself to Akoto, it took a while but the door soon opened; Akoto peeked out to make sure it was him and when he knew it was defiantly him he allowed him to come into his room.
For the first few moments it was awkward and very quiet indeed, until Zack decided to break the silence.
"Hey Akoto, what's up with you ... You seem, distant." he said standing up as he walked over to the computer to see what he was doing. And when he got closer he could see a email up, he smiled and looked at him. "Emailing someone eh Akoto ~?" he asked as if it was a girl, which Akoto denied as he looked up at him.
"No, it is a e-mail, it's just blank ... all of them are ... But once someone dies, what's written on them appears..." he stated as his hallow eyes stared at Zack, which creped him out.
"So it's like ... ghost mail?" Zack joked as he said that, but it brought a idea to Akoto.
"You know Zack, you might be right about that... it is like ghost mail, because ghost have visible states and then ghost also have invisible states; it's just a fact on whether they want to show there forms or not, like the e-mails I keep receiving... Zack you're a genius!" "I am?" "Yes!" with that said Akoto looked at his previous e-mails from the same 'person' and then went to the internet to search if there was any cases like his own. He was lucky; he found one; which was the only one that came up from his search. He clicked on it and sore that it was wrote by someone just like himself. Akoto looked at his mate and then looked back at the page and began to read what the boy had written on the page.
He gulped as he noticed that there situations were similar; even though he was getting e-mails instead of calls; which in fact he prefers as he hardly uses his phone.
Zack looked and pointed something out, "Hey look at this, ' All those who died were either someone who I had meet or someone who was dear to me' and also this ' Even though I had poltergeist/evil spirits after me, there was one who protected me; which was my mother who died previously when I was younger', god so does this mean your sister or something's gonner protect you or what?" Zack stated taking his finger away from the screen looking at Akoto. With his response he nodded, "Properly yes, but if you think about it, it hasn't been happening long... So maybe once it gets further and more dangerous?" he said as he eyes continued to read the page.
Later on after finishing the page he noticed some contact details, he pulled his phone from behind his speaker and flipped the cover up and began to dial his phone number in; it began to ring. As it rang he bit his lip nervously, as he was now alone in his room as Zack had popped downstairs for refreshments.
He decided to give up when the phone just kept ringing, but as he went to stop the call he heard a voice.
"Hello, who is this?" the voice shakily asked as he waited for a reply.
Akoto almost felt happy that the guy had answered his call; he took a deep breath and brought his mobile up to his ear.
"H-hello, I am Akoto Hiroshi and I-i need to talk to you about a problem I have, a-about ghosts ..." as he finished his speech he noticed something changed about the person on the other end.
"I apologize, but I cannot talk about them over the phone... Will you be able to meet me?" he stated, seriously.
"Huh ... O-oh, of course ... but where?" he questioned.
"I'll message you; they only bother with calls .... bye." and with that the call ended and as it did Zack came through the door caring drinks in both hands, he looked over at Akoto with a smile as he gave Akoto his drink and placed his own down.
"So, did the call go through...?" he questioned as he sat on Akoto's bed, as he did Akoto looked over at him taking a drink from his drink.
"Y-yes it did, he said he'll mes-" "La da do la ~ " "-sage me ..", as he heard his theme tune of his phone he picked it up and noticed that he had mail; he opened it and sore that it was from him and immediately began to read it;
'Meet me at the Rocha Cafe down town; it's the only cafe I know that isn't 'Haunted'... Be there 3pm tomorrow!' the message stated as he looked at Zack and took a deep breath and closed his phone and laid it back down on his computer desk. He looked up from his chair to his bedroom light and looked back at Zack smiling sheepishly.
"Hopefully I'll find out why this is happening to me ..." his words shaking as if he was scared. Zack took a deep breath and came over to him, placing a hand on his shoulder as he looked at him. "Listen mate, don't let this run to your head too much ... Before you know it, you'll be in a crazy hospital ... so watch it, were all worried about you ..." Zack stated as he took his hand away know walking over to his door, looking back at him. "I'll see you at school, get some sleep now, okay?" and with his words he left swiftly closing the door behind him.
Akoto looked at his computer, waiting for a e-mail to pop up. But as one did not approach his screen he decided to go to bed as tomorrow would be a very busy day for him.
Finally, he'll be able to shed some light on his situation.
